AnimalAgriculture .watch
Project Overview
Based on the initial concept from the client the goal of this project was to create a Ui that facilitated users coming to the site to understand the prompt in-front of them and to watch the content provided by the host. In the initial instance of the site, the client wanted to offer a monetary compensation for users to watch a video about animal agriculture. Branding work was additive to the process but proved to be helpful. The concept, development and implementation for this project was entirely owned by the client.

User Research: Pain Points
Apathy: Through research and activism, the horrors of the factory farming industry were clear to the websites founder. These things felt like common knowledge to most but there was a need to force people to focus more intentionally on them.
Inattention: Users are easily distracted and need a way to stay engaged
Accountability: Currently, there are not efficient means to share content and ensure that they desired target group is watching it.
Accessibility Considerations
Plain text was used to aid with screen-readers and development has prioritized alt text for video content to ensure it can reach the most viewers
All colors were tested via Coolors.co and were found to meet accessibility standards
Takeaways
Impact: The client was able to build out this system in an MVP capacity. Eventually, I would like to take these into a testing phase and build out the uploader side of the experience to better understand how in-depth we can take the learnings.
What I learned: Keeping the site as simple as possible to allow for the focus to remain on the content. The intention of the client was to remove all distractions and create an experience where these horrors were undeniable.
